What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup procedure that allows dramatic correction or full reconstruction of lost eyebrows. Eyebrow Microblading is performed by manually depositing pigment under the top layer of the skin with a special pen and sterile single use blade. It does not involve the use of a machine. Unlike permanent make-up brow treatments, Microblading involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes that are more natural looking. The blade of Microblading pen is 3 times thinner than the needles used for tattooing. When performed correctly, the procedure is almost painless. Technicians usually use a numbing solution to limit discomfort.
By using a fine blade and pigment, we can create microscopic fine hairs on the skin and because the pigment is deposited just below the epidermis of the skin, it does not last forever. A touch up is done within 4 weeks after the first treatment as it can fade up to 40% after the initial treatment. After that, touch ups are typically done every 1-2 years. However the time your brows will last depends on many things including skin type, after care, sun exposure, age and genetics. Because of these factors, I cannot guarantee how long your brows will last.
The whole process of Microblading can take up to 3 hours because so much time is spent mapping and drawing your perfect brows with your input. No pigment deposit will be started until you are completely happy with your personally designed brows! The actual time it takes to do the pigment deposit is around 20-30 minutes. The client will then return between 4-6 weeks for a perfecting boost to implant more colour and perfect the eyebrow shape and fullness. To get the perfect brows is a 2 part procedure. Both visits are included in the price of $375.
Because of the cost and time it takes to set up this sterile procedure a non-refundable $65 consultation fee will be required to hold your appointment. Once you book online contact me to to send you an invoice to be paid by credit card or an e-transfer can be done to [email protected]. The deposit must be paid within 12 hours of booking the appointment or the appointment will be cancelled. The $65 will be applied to the cost of your new brows however if you fail to show up for the appointment it is non-refundable. The deposit can be used to reschedule appointment (with 24 hours notice or more) only one time, however after that it is also non-refundable. This ensures that I am able to keep my costs low instead of having to throw out unused equipment because it has been set up and is no longer sterile. Thanks for your co-operation.
